This comedy is set during the same era as when Bill Haley & His Comets were in their heyday. It follows a housewife who moonlights as a stand-up comedian. In one of the episodes, the song Crazy Man Crazy can be heard playing. It is used to represent the joy she feels at succeeding in stand up.
Dancing With the Stars
As the name suggests, Dancing With the Stars is about celebrities battling it out in a dance competition. Each pair of dancers is given their own track to base their routine on. Bill Haley’s song Swing the Mood is considered such a great tune that it was saved until the semi-final of the 2010 season.
Family Guy
Family Guy is an animated sitcom about a Rhode Island family. In 2005 the fourth season of the show came out. One of the episodes is called The Father, The Son And The Holy Fonz uses Rock Around the Clock. It can be heard during a montage sequence.
The Simpsons
The Simpsons is another famous cartoon series which has become one of the most successful television sitcoms of all time. In the 2003 Halloween special of season 14, Rock Around the Clock is used. The character Homer Simpson also plays the song on a giant piano in the episode Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy.
